START Peninsula Success Builder Sussessions
In each of the 2-hour sessions you will gain a better understanding of powerful communication strategies including how to effectively engage your audience, what tools to use to keep them engaged and the difference in pitching to investor’s vs. presenting for sales.

Whether you are considering incorporating your sole proprietorship, currently have an LLC or are creating an entirely new business, Business Law Boot Camp will help you navigate the murky waters of business law. The course covers a broad range of topics, including the pros and cons of different business structures (LLC, Partnership, S-Corp, etc.), strategies for creating and maintaining the liability protection of your corporation or company, establishing transition plans for when you are no longer in control and much more.
Participants in this workshop will learn:
- Forms of business entities (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, LLC and Sole Proprietorship) and the strengths and weaknesses of each
- How to interface with the State Corporation Commission
- When you should consider seeking the assistance of an attorney to represent your business
- Regulatory maintenance and compliance - how to protect yourself from liability by building a protocol castle
- Managing the details - little things that can make a business hum or drive it to ruin
The presenters: The workshop will be taught by Jeremy Johnson, an attorney from Johnson, Gasink & Baxter LLP, a Virginia law firm focusing on estate planning and small business law.
