Parks & Recreation wants to help you keep your spirits high and your mind and body well during these challenging times. When the time arrives, we look forward to welcoming you back to our centers and parks! Until then, our virtual programming can help you learn a new craft, take a virtual tour, explore nature and discover the beauty that already exist in our outdoor community. New This Week!


 Do you want to improve your genealogy research skills? Whether a beginner or intermediate-level genealogist, you have room to advance your research skills making them more accurate and thorough so you can discover more about your ancestors. The class will be conducted via the Zoom app. Classes are held on Tuesdays, July 7-28, 5-6 p.m. The registration deadline is Thursday, July 2; to participate email to reserve a spot and receive the Zoom meeting link! Designed for ages 16+. Free.


  • Try our online jigsaw puzzle and take a guess at determining which County Park is featured. Look for the answer next week along with more fun puzzles to play! Last week’s featured puzzle photo was mountain biking at Freedom Park!


Is your child interested in the weather? Visit to learn about clouds, wind, drought, weather forecasting, how to become a meteorologist and more! Don’t miss the Experiments section, which has detailed instructions for more than 30 experiments you can do at home using basic materials.
