Why We Recycle: Curbside Recycling 101
Learn about why we recycle, what we recycle and how we recycle.
Curbside recycling service is provided biweekly by Tidewater Fiber Corporation (TFC) through a regional contract with Virginia Peninsulas Public Service Authority (VPPSA) to James City County residents for $7.00 a month per cart. The recycling fee includes your choice of a 35 gallon, 65 gallon, or 95 gallon cart. If you live within the service area, you may enroll in the curbside recycling program.
Residents are allowed to request multiple carts. The bill will be adjusted to include multiple carts, for example, if you have two carts the cost is ($7 per month x 2 carts) $14 per month and billed at $42 per quarter.
Invoices are paid in advance and sent to residents quarterly in May, August, November and February.
