Police Investigate Grand Larceny of Horse Saddle

Stolen Horse Saddle

On Sept. 13, between 7:30-11:15 a.m., an unknown person(s) stole a Butet Premium horse saddle valued at approximately $7,000 from a horse trailer parked in the 9100 block of Richmond Road in Toano. The saddle has identifying marks of black triangular stains on either side from boot polish transfer and a gold nameplate on the back.

If you have seen someone in possession of this saddle or know who may have been involved in this incident, please contact Officer Casper at 757-253-1800 or courtney.casper@jamescitycountyva.gov. Tipsters may also call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit tips online at p3tips.com. Callers to the Crime Line and P3 Tips users may remain anonymous, do not have to testify in court and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 if the information provided leads to an arrest.
