[ARCHIVED] Firearms Class Offered to the Public by Police

JCCPD is releasing news

The James City County Police Department proudly offers community members a free firearm safety course. This one-session class will cover fundamental topics, including firearm safety, handling, storage, and laws related to carrying a concealed handgun in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Please note that this course does not include hands-on training, and all personal firearms should be left at home in a secure location. This training is open to all ages.

All classes will take place at the Law Enforcement Center, conveniently located at 4600 Opportunity Way. To ensure your seat, pre-registration is required, and class sizes are limited to 20 participants.

We are pleased to offer a variety of class dates to accommodate busy schedules:

• March 4, 9 a.m.-noon

• March 25, 9 a.m.-noon

• April 4, 6-9 p.m.

• April 29, 9 a.m.-noon
