[ARCHIVED] Little Creek Reservoir Park Boat Launch Reopens

LCRP Boat Launch Open FLASH

The boat launch at Little Creek Reservoir Park, 180 Lakeview Road, has reopened, following rising water levels over the past two months. The water level is currently 52-feet, making it safe to resume launching kayaks, canoes and boats. Launching of all watercraft vessels including boats, kayaks and canoes will be permitted using the Self-Pay Option. The Little Creek Reservoir Park store is open Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. for more information, concessions and live bait. You may also call the Park Ranger at 757-592-1665 if the store is closed. At this time, the rental of kayaks, canoes or any watercraft vessel equipment at the Park store is not available.

Little Creek Reservoir is owned and operated by the City of Newport News as a major water storage facility for the peninsula. We do anticipate water levels to fluctuate seasonally, which could result in future boat launch closures. Recreational activities at the Park are managed by James City County.
