The Electoral Board of James City County, Virginia is pleased to announce that, at the regular meeting on May 9, 2023, it unanimously voted to reappoint Dianna Moorman as General Registrar. Ms. Moorman’s term will run for four years, beginning on July 1, 2023.
Board members Perry DePue, Curt Stoldt and Dorothea E. Matthews praised her service, saying “Ms. Moorman has served our County with dedication, knowledge and purpose, ensuring that our elections are honest and fair and are perceived to be so by our voters. She has navigated through the difficult last four years where the election laws were changed significantly, and is in the last stages of construction at the new Office of Elections, all designed to make the voting experience as pleasant as possible as voters exercise their right to vote. Under her tutelage, The Office of Elections staff is dedicated and highly competent, a tribute to her leadership and caring.”
The Electoral Board looks forward to working with Mrs. Moorman and the staff for another four years to ensure fair, transparent and accurate elections in James City County.
