James City County is conducting a Community Needs Assessment for funding from the Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) program. PSSF is a federal program aimed at preventing child maltreatment, enabling children to remain safely with their families, and ensuring permanency for children in foster care.
The survey is open to James City County residents caring for a child under the age of 18 and child/family service providers. The survey can be found online and the deadline to complete the survey is Oct. 31, 2023.
Data collected from this survey will guide the County’s 2025 Child and Family Services Plan, which is to be submitted to the Virginia Department of Social Services for review by January 2024.
