The Work under this Project consists of the following:

 The scope of work consists of renovating all existing restrooms in the facility. Plumbing work includes, but is not limited to, replacing toilets, urinals, lavatories, and sinks. Architectural work includes, but is not limited to, removing and salvaging toilet accessories, painting, and re-installing salvaged toilet accessories. Two additive alternates contemplate (1) replacing ceramic floor tile and wainscot in gang restrooms, and (2) replacing drop-in classroom sinks that have built-in water fountain bubblers.

 The base scope of work includes:

  • Replace floor-mounted toilets and flush valves.
  • Replace wall-hung urinals and flush valves.
  • Replace wall-hung lavatories.
  • Replace drop-in kitchen sinks in work rooms and art room.
  • Replace cast iron sink in kitchen with stainless steel sink with foot pedals.
  • Readjust lavatory and urinal anchoring as needed and caulk edges.
  • Paint walls.

 Additive Alternate #1 scope: Replace ceramic floors and wainscot in gang restrooms.

  • Remove and salvage toilet and urinal partitions and hardware.
  • Replace ceramic tile floors, wall bases, and wainscot in gang restrooms.
  • Install marble door thresholds.
  • Re-install salvaged toilet and urinal partitions in pre-construction locations.

 Additive Alternate #2 scope: Replace drop-in sinks in classrooms that have built-in water fountain bubblers.

  • Replace drop-in classroom sinks, faucets, drains, traps, supplies, and bubblers.

Services provided by the contractor shall include, but are not limited to, furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, tools, traffic control, testing, transportation and all other miscellaneous appurtenances and work necessary to the complete the project in accordance with the Contract Documents, Drawings, and Specifications. (See also Section 6: Scope of Work/Statement of Needs).


  •  Work for this project shall commence on June 16, 2023.
  • Substantial Completion is required by August 18, 2023.
  • Final Completion is required by September 15, 2023.

 Working hours are unlimited during the Summer session. The Summer session begins June 16, 2023, and ends August 18, 2023, at Substantial Completion. Following Substantial Completion, working hours shall be outside of normal building occupied hours, from 4:30PM to 9:00AM Monday through Friday, and any time on weekends with approval by WJCC Schools.
